Buddhism is a science more than a religion. Though it fits in the ‘box’ of religion, Buddhism aims to systematically understand what we are and to utilize such insight to reduce all beings suffering. The Buddha was interested not in faith, or in followers, but in results. Utilizing repeatable and demonstrable evidence to point to the cause and root of pain, this tradition now flourishes with myriad methods, views and activities that would reduce and eliminate suffering which we are all readily familiar with. Most great guides and teachers urge and point us to be our own inner subjective scientist, and to use our powerful intellect, our stable lives and our vast educations to pierce our mundane, painful or not quite full experience.
